“Thinking of Don Celender, I remember his artwork, his kindness and
his smile. If I could do anything as a memorial, it would be to have
him around Macalester College, golden and smiling. This “Celender
Smile” project utilizes the smiles from two photographs spanning the
career of Don Celender, one in 1972 and one in 1995.
This project honors Don‘s life and his work together, the humor and
action present in both. Please take one of his smiles to remember him.
