More Tree Stories»
The Wedge Project addressed spaces of interface. I set up a kiosk where participants exchanged their e-mail address for a wedge. Each wedge was cut from discarded 2″x4″ construction materials salvaged from a dumpster. Each wedge was sanded and stamped with an email address to send a tree story to in exchange for the wedge. Each wedge could physically be used to keep a door open or closed. They also bridged physical and virtual spaces. During the opening night, it was rumored that I was going to sell everyone’s e-mail addresses. This never happened, but makes for an interesting story.
